The

Empty

Pantry

In December, 1952 The Empty Pantry Fund started as a joint venture between the Jaycees and The Daily Times. The first year we delivered over 100 baskets, that number grew to 500 baskets, then 1,000. Today we serve to over 1300 baskets of food to underprivileged residents throughout Blount County.

Our Goal

This year alone we expect over 1400 baskets, but without your support, we cannot make this happen for the 2019 Year!

773 Baskets Filled as of December 2019

The Empty Pantry Fund would not be successful without the generosity of the citizens and businesses of Blount County. Every year, the people of Blount County have provided enough funding to purchase the 1400 baskets of food. Now, businesses and residents can make donations via paypal allowing them the opportunity to make their donation via credit card or electronic transfer through paypal. The Empty Pantry Fund, Inc is a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.

The Empty Pantry Fund, Inc. will provide assistance to underprivileged families across Blount County. We will deliver a basket of food to 1400 families during Christmas this year. Each basket has staple items included and enough food to feed a family of four for a week.
