Day 2: On Wednesday, December 15, the Empty Pantry Fund will receive 3 tractor-trailer loads of food from the Kroger Corporation. Members of the Armory National Guard, Blount County Road Superintendent Department, and Empty Pantry Fund will unload and organize approximately 120,000 lbs. of food to pack over 1300 baskets each year. We order the food without knowing if we will collect enough donations to pay for it but we continue to have “faith” in the individuals, organizations, and businesses that will continue to donate to fulfill this need. Help us today by making a donation to the Empty Pantry Fund.
